Let’s gather together and mend in person.

Last year, some people got together and mended SO MANY THINGS in two hours at @cura_collective (in the Central District, Seattle) that we couldn’t resist bringing back our donation-based in-person mending labs for another year.

You’re invited to join us.

On May 11, from 6:30-8:30 pm at @cura_collective, we will open the doors again to host a modern, sustainable sewing circle.

We hope you’ll join us to sit around a long table, stitching and chatting while we repair things that are broken, strengthen weak areas, or embellish things that need some extra beauty.

You bring your broken things - I’ll bring everything else. All the supplies, some encouragement, and technical know-how await you. You don’t need any experience to get started.

I’ll be happy to show you different ways to fix your garments or bags or tablecloths, or stuffed animals; whatever needs repair, and I always share the tools you need to do it.

As always, This mending lab will be a fundraiser. The beneficiary will be announced closer to the event.

Let’s take care of ourselves, our textiles, each other, and people we don’t even know.

Suggested donation: $25-50 Payable at the event.
