Mending Lab at The CURA Co.

  • The CURA Co 2407 East Union Street Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Come visit me upstairs at the CURA Co. gallery with an article of clothing to mend.
I will be on site holding a pop-up mending lab to help you fix what’s broken and teach you how to preserve something you might have thought you had to let go.

Skirts or pants with hems that have come undone, loose shirt buttons to sew back on, blown out thighs of yoga pants, torn t-shirt arm holes, belt loops attached at one end but not the other, pockets that don’t hold change anymore, or a grocery tote with a hole in it (for example) can be rescued on the spot.

The first step in sustainable living is to use what you have. I will show you how to keep your favorites while I demonstrate how you can fix them.

No registration necessary, just show up.

Your donation of 10 dollars will go to support Refugee Artisan Initiative Refugee Artisan Initiative - so you can learn something, keep something longer, and do something good, all at the same time.
