In-person Mending Lab @ Cura Co is Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 6:30-8:30 PST.

Let’s gather together and mend in person.

Last year, some people got together and mended SO MANY THINGS in two hours at @cura_collective (in the Central District, Seattle) that we couldn’t resist returning our donation-based in-person mending labs for another year.

You’re invited to join us.

On September 14, from 6:30-8:30 pm at @cura_collective, we will open the doors again to host a modern, sustainable sewing circle.

We hope you’ll join us to sit around a long table, stitching and chatting while we repair broken things, strengthen weak areas, or embellish things that need extra beauty.

You bring your broken things - I’ll bring everything else. All the supplies, some encouragement, and technical know-how await you. You don’t need any experience to get started.

I’ll be happy to show you different ways to fix your garments, bags, tablecloths, or stuffed animals, whatever needs repair, and I always share the tools you need to do it.

As always, This mending lab will be a fundraiser. The beneficiary will be announced closer to the event.

Let’s take care of ourselves, our textiles, each other, and people we don’t even know.

Suggested donation: $25-50 Payable at the event.
