In-person Mending Lab @ Cura Co is Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 6:30-8:30 PST.

Let’s gather together and mend in person.

Last month, some people got together and mended SO MANY THINGS in two hours at @cura_collective in the Central District, Seattle.

We enjoyed ourselves so much, we decided to do another one. The tragic war is still underway in Ukraine, so we’re asking for a donation that will benefit the same charity.

You’re invited to join us.

On July 14, from 6:30-8:30 pm at @cura_collective we will open the doors again to host a modern, sustainable sewing circle.

We hope you’ll join us to sit around a long table, stitching and chatting while we repair things that are broken, or to strengthen areas that are weak, or to embellish things that need some extra beauty.

You bring your broken things - I’m bringing all the supplies.

I’ll be happy to show you different ways to fix your garments or bags or stuffed animals, or whatever needs repair, and share the tools you need to do it.

This mending lab will be a fundraiser to benefit LGBTQIA+ Ukrainian 🇺🇦 refugees looking for compassion and care and a safe place to stay.

Let’s take care of ourselves, our textiles, each other, and people we don’t even know.
