Let’s gather together and mend in person.

In 2022, some people got together and mended SO MANY THINGS in two hours at @cura_collective (in the Central District, Seattle) that we couldn’t resist bring back our donation-based in-person mending labs for another year.

You’re invited to join us.

On January 12, from 6:30-8:30 pm at @cura_collective we will open the doors again to host a modern, sustainable sewing circle.

We hope you’ll join us to sit around a long table, stitching and chatting while we repair things that are broken, or to strengthen areas that are weak, or to embellish things that need some extra beauty.

You bring your broken things - i’ll bring everything else. All the supplies, some encouragement, and the technical know-how will be waiting for you. You don’t need any experience to get started.

I’ll be happy to show you different ways to fix your garments or bags or tablecloths or stuffed animals; whatever needs repair, and I always share the tools you need to do it.

This mending lab will be a fundraiser to benefit refugee artisan initiative.

Let’s take care of ourselves, our textiles, each other, and people we don’t even know.
